SeeHorse

SeeHorse is a flashlight designed for paediatricians. It takes the shape of a seahorse to appeal to children and ease the examination process, it clamps to the doctor's stethoscope to be easily carried and it can be a great conversation starter with the kids.

This was my first product design project as an industrial design student.

The flashlight integrates the use of a tongue depressor so that the doctor can use one hand to handle the flashlight and tongue depressor and the other to comfort the child.

The cap has a slit to insert the tongue depressor through, the cap is then removed and inserted onto the second position of the body. When the body of the flashlight rests on the tongue depressor, it automatically pushes the ON button when little pressure is exerted.
